Why a Gourmet Cookery Class for Men?
A survey by Glenfiddich revealed that 50% of men rate their culinary skills as good to excellent. In recognition of this, the Glenfiddich Gourmet Cookery School for Men was created to offer one-day culinary courses for aspiring male cooks.
For Glenfiddich every year counts and whilst attending a day course won’t turn you into an expert chef, it could be the start……
Who are they for?
Guys who know a bit about cooking but would like to further develop their skills plus learn the connoisseurs' art of nosing and tasting single malts.
The course introduces the innovative use of Scottish produce to create a fabulous 3-course menu, whilst providing insider tips on how to make food look as good as it tastes. Plus, at the end of the day, there is a chance to enjoy a nosing and tasting session conducted by a Glenfiddich expert.
Course Format
The course runs from 10am to 5.00pm (approx). Our Chef will demonstrate the creation of a selection of starters, main courses and desserts. You will have the opportunity to re-create 3 of the dishes, and then sit down to enjoy the food you have prepared over a glass or two of wine. The day culminates in a single malt whisky master-class, delivered by one of Glenfiddich's whisky experts. You will be introduced to the art of nosing and tasting single malts and enjoy 5 different drams from the Glenfiddich range - Glenfiddich Special Reserve 12 Year Old, Glenfiddich Caoran Reserve 12 Year Old, Glenfiddich Solera Reserve 15 Year Old, Glenfiddich Ancient Reserve 18 Year Old and Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21 Year Old!
